  1. No - not always. Fleas are just one way that a cat could get a tapeworm. Fleas alone are quite unpleasant for your cat though, and can invade your home and be difficult to remove, so if your cat has fleas, it's in both yours and your cats best interests to get rid of them as soon as possible.


  2. The tapeworm eggs are sometimes laid on the legs of the fleas. So when you cat grooms and pulls fleas into her mouth the flea dies in the digestive tract but the tapeworm eggs get a free ride to its final home.

    But they can also be picked up other ways but usually fleas are the most common way to get them.



  3. Not always, they can get it many ways.   It can be passed from the mother, from another cats infected f***s or from fleas.
