  1. It depends on the reason for why they are celebate. And the reason for why the other person is having regular s*x.

Like it or not, these decisions are down to an *individuals* moral code. It is as impossible to claim all celebates lack self-esteem as it is to say all people having regular s*x lack self-esteem. People who have self-esteem can choose to go either way, but stick to their decision.

i.e. You could be celebate because you don;t know/don;t value yourself enought to be in a relationship, be vulnerable with someone etc... or because you value yourself highly and have decided s*x should only be with your true love. You could be having regular s*x because you feel that's the only way to get attention or people to like you... or because you are responsible and adult enough to have fun and not get hung up on it. Both are valid viewpoints.

  2. Why would keeping your clothes on cause self-esteem issues?  Now, lots of people with self-esteem issues use s*x as a medication.  Rapists and "loose" types who use s*x for this purpose is well-documented.

  3. Why is it that people with morals have to have a problem in the minds of others who think s*x is innocent fun.

s*x is an important part of our lives but should be within the bounds of marriage. For many of us it's an emotional part of life. We share this part only with the one who want to be our all.

  4. I think quite the opposite...I think celibate have a very high self esteem, as they believe to be doing the right thing and feel special because they resist the "temptation"...

  5.    Actually, I think they may have more self esteem. I was celibate for almost a year. (It was for self exploration mostly.) I actually felt like I didn't need it. That my priorities were finally in order and I could see things more clearly. I was (and am) much more confident and happy because of it.

  6. I don't think so & one should not have low self esteem for it, b'coz everything has its own advantages & disadvantages.

  7. Not always, because one would think they would not be susceptible to matters of self-esteem if they choose to elevate themselves to a point where they prevail over simple animalistic instincts by restricting themselves from such base pleasures.

This can be done with many things, not just celibacy.
