i think they only scurry because usually the person who find it shouts "AAAHHH" loud. or they might have the instinct of knowing the bug spray is coming after the light hits them lol.

usually yeah if your chasing them or walking towards them they'll get scared but its rare for them to stay still but that's probably cuz they think they tough
