Or is it a placebo effect for ppl who really think they are doing their body a favor?

Or for a bunch of poo-luvin freaks?

and if so [to either above]--then why has it been a practice [they say] for a few thousand yrs. then?

  1. I really think these are all gimmicks and fake products. I am not a doctor but I think that if you eliminate your bowels completely and thoroughly on a regular basis, your colon has been cleansed.

If there is fecal stagnation within the colon (incomplete elimination or inability to empty regularly), then the colon is not clean.

I have no idea what these "colon cleanses" do if they play no role in elimination.

  2. Hello,

Colon cleanses absolutely work.  However, it is important that you do your research and pick a great, safe, and effective colon cleanse product.

The number one colon cleanser, in my opinion, is DrNatura's Colonix colon cleanse and parasite removal product which can be ordered at http://www.drnatura.com

Plus, DrNatura offers 7 day a week customer service phone support.  They will kindly answer your many questions.

That superior Colonix colon detoxification product will be receiving my endorsement until the day I die http://www.healthbanquet.com/colon-clean... as it literally gave me a new lease on my life.

Sounds dramatic, but that is the truth.

Remember the quote, "All Diseases Begin In The Gut," by Hippocrates.  That is so true, and you know what?  Sometimes, mother nature needs a little assistance, as that was clearly the case for me.

Even cleansing the colon with enemas for healing purposes, has been practiced for thousands of years.

Yes, Jesus Christ talked about ridding the body of worms via the e***a. "And the devils left their bowels in the shape of multitudinous worms which writhed in impotent rage after the angel of water had cast them out of the bowels of the Sons of Men."

No, "Worms and parasites don't really exist is humans," you say.  Well, if you believe that, then receive a reality check by viewing this colonoscopy of the human roundworm and tapeworm in a human's colon http://www.healthbanquet.com/parasites-r...

Dogs are dewormed regularly, horses are dewormed regularly, and I believe humans can benefit greatly by also deworming periodically.

You are smart to be questioning colon cleanses.  I urge you to do your research into the critical importance of learning what you can do to improve the health of your intestinal tract.  That knowledge will serve you well.

  3. colon cleansing works really well if what you are trying to do is to deplete your body of electrolytes...as for that guff about 'toxins', that's mostly bullsh*t; the liver does a great job of detoxifying and the peristaltic action of the lower intestine moves all that 'stagnant''impacted' stuff out efficiently...that said,I know a bloke who has a stoma and hence a very short colon and he looks ten years younger than his actual years...but I don't think there's all that much in it...there's a lot of psych stuff involved here...Freud and so on...blllaaaattt!! ( what was that..?)

  4. The lack of understanding of bodily functions is as old as mankind itself. When you think bodily wastes and somebody starts talking about "toxins," there's naturally a mental link. Logical fallacies aren't exactly a new phenomenon, either.
