  1. Yes it will.  All modern mail applications are able to connect the type of servers that Cox uses.  Normally the answers to your question can be found on http://support.cox.com.  In the email section is gives detailed instructions on how to set up email on various clients (your client being Mail).

If you cannot find this - then you will need a few things from Cox to set up your connection on your own.

#1 - POP server address, this is the address of the server where you will get your new mail from.

#2 - SMTP server address, this is the address of the server you will send your mail to when you have mail you have writtern.

#3 - Username and Password.  In order for the servers to know which mail to deliver to you they need your username and password.  If you do not know this information, you can get it by called 1-800-GET-MORE and talk to internet technical support.

One you have this information, there will be an option in the Mac Mail application to set up a new connection using POP and SMTP servers - and off you go.

The thing to keep in mind is that you should not have to do this blindly, there are many places (be it the Mail documentation, Cox support online, etc. ) that should be able to walk you through this from start to finish.

    Good Luck.
