  1. The shell on the outside is the bone. The meat in a crab is the muscle. Do crabs have muscles? Put your finger in his claw and find out.


  2. Yes they have muscles,instead of being attached to an endo skeleton like mammals they have an exoskeleton which is their shell.

    Their muscles are attached to this.

    Instead of being attached to bones and pulling against them,their muscles pull against the shell.

I don't think they have muscles but they have tendons that do the pulling for them.  If you rip into a raw crab (which I don't recommend) they are mostly liquid inside.  It's the cooking process that makes their meat solidify if you will.  They may have a form of a musculature structure but not like that of a cow.

  4. yes, they do--their muscles are very tasty with butter. mmm. i'm thinking their muscles work in pairs (like ours) where when one contracts its pair relaxes so as to flex or extend the joint. or something like that.
