Yes.  Though the whole "you need 8 cups of water a day" thing is bunk.  Moderately active humans in a temperate environment only NEED to consume 32 oz. of liquid a day to stay properly hydrated.  That liquid can be water, coffee, tea, soda, juice, or whatever you want.  That also includes water that comes as moisture through foods.

  3. all liquids count towards this mythical "8 glasses" goal.  Doctors now say this is purely an arbitrary number made up by someone and passed along for decades.

    You should remain well hydrated but any liquid and the liquid in foods count towards hydrating you.  Hydrate yourself when you feel thirsty.

  4. Yes as long as it doesn't have any calories.

    You can subsititue two glasses of water with other non-calorie beverages.
