Does a direct tv receiver can be connected to a dish network dish?

I have a Dish network account and I wanted to connect a direct tv receiver to the antena since my friend has sport package he can let me borrow his card, is that something that can be done?

Yes and No,

You can't borrow the card as it won't work in any other receiver except the DTV it came out of, if you took the receiver and the card then repointed your Dish to DTV sat you could make it work, as long as the LNB's were compatible, which they typically are. You will lose your alignment to Dish Network and will have to realign before you can go back. A pain....it would be better to just put up a second dish.
