Does a dump truck spend more gas with the AC running while it is working?

Nope you wouldn't even notice the difference...(I work on 300 tonner haul trucks (dump trucks)..and you wouldn't notice it at all..

technically it will use more gas because it takes more engine power (=more fuel)  to drive the engaged compressor.  You probably wouldn't notice the difference on a vehicle that probably only gets 7-8 mpg anyways.

sure it does, it takes extra power from the engine to run the AC.
