Wanting one on my foot desperately. Got one done on the back of my neck (3 stars) about 2 weeks ago, and i've also got one on the base of my back. It's like as addiction to get another!

Really like one i've seen on the foot, but heard that it REALLY hurts! Can't be as bad as your neck bone surely?

Can anyone share their experiences with me?!

  1. only feels like a needle ripping through your skin.

  2. I have two on my feet.... I can admit it, they hurt! I have others, but nothing on my neck. The feet hurt pretty bad, but if you really think about it.... it's the same machine, doing the same procedure, on human skin. Of course it's going to feel like a really fast, annoying scratch. The closer my tattoo guy got to my big toe, where it's a little bonier, the more I sort of had to hold on to something. Not so much PAIN, but more so nerves. Just that dull, nagging, scratching feeling of the needle I guess. He would get to a certain part of my foot, where skin gets thinner, and it hit just the right spot (a few times) that it sent a jolt throughout my body, but nothing unbearable that you can't sit still for. TRUST ME, it's not bad!

It's definitely worth it though... I love mine! The feet are a cool place to tat. You can show them off, or hide them easily, and never have to worry about your skin changing too much down there.

I say go for it! Be sure you see your tattoo drawn on and are comfortable with the look of having something there, because as a person who wears flipflops year-round in southern California, it took some getting used to for me! :)

And I totallyyyy know what you mean about the addiction!!!

  3. hiya, funny got one on my foot today, i personally thought it was ok but was told it is like one of the worst places. I got one on hip and one on thigh, so cant compare it 2 the neck. Hey if you want it go 4 it, you can get creams now which apparently numb the pain 2, good luck

  4. it depends on where you are more sensitive. Both hurt alot. ask the tatooist before you get it.

  5. The foot wasnt so bad for me, the worst was when he got right on the knobbly bony bit near the ankle, and my foot kept jumping about. I'd say it's a little worse than the bottom of your back, but not by a lot.

  6. these questions are so cute sometimes. i am a heavily covered female. i have 2 full sleeves, my neck is done, and im currently working on my leg pieces and feet. first, ALL tattoos hurt. some more than others, depending on the spot, the artist, and youre pain tollerance. like i said, im covered, and ive experienced extreme pain, and little pain. if its something you want, go for it!!! no one on answers will make you change ur mind. just do it, and love it!!

    good luck!!

  7. yes

because you have more important innervation in foot than in neck!

  8. i have just had a tattoo done last week on the top of my foot, and to be totally honest it didn"t hurt in the slightest.

but saying that i have to agree with stupid, i have one on the other foot that starts on the side of my foot and comes up across the ankle bone onto the bottom of my leg, once the needle hit the ankle bone that was  painful, and 30 mins after i left the tattooist"s my ankle had swollen to twice it"s normal size, and it took about 3 weeks before it healed, which was a lot longer than my other 4 took.

  9. HI my fathers a tattoo artist and i asked him for you.

Around the ankle doesn't really hurt that much but on the actual foot hurts allot.  It does not hurt more than the back , rib cage & Kneecap as they are the most sensitve areas.

  10. my friend had one on her foot (a rose of all things) and within 20 seconds of starting she passed out.... and shes got some tattoos in some tender places (if you know what i mean).

the guy had to strap her foot down before he did it as he knew the pain!

soon as he started the whole place became a house of screams. 2 women ran out lol.

don't get me wrong, it looks nice but painful to have done!

you might want to try the ankle first befre the foot!

  11. Got a flower on top of my foot,  was told it would be painfull but did not hurt at all,

  12. It hurts more on your foot, trust me.

    It's bearable though.

Good luck, it will be worth it!
