I left for college last week and my pay check from my summer job came to the store today. I'm 1000 miles away so obviously cant pick it up. Will they mail it to me? Do they have any legal obligations to get me that pay?

  1. Are you concerned they won't send it for some reason? Most employers don't want to hold onto checks, for any reason. Call them and ask them to forward it.

As far as legal obligations, no. They are not obligated to mail it. But they ARE obligated to hold onto the check for something like 2 years until someone claims it. They can't just take back the money. So I'm sure they'll mail it.

  2. Call them up they should send it out to you, make sure you keep all your employment details, incase it gets nasty,if you get f****d around call the goverment dept that helps with fair trading or the cops,

  3. i have no idea about legal obligations, but most will mail it on to

you simply as a courtesy, provided they have your forwarding

    address.
