  1. The goldenrods don`t benefit from gall-infection, to the contrary:

    "In the native ranges, a high proportion of plants show damage from stem-galling or herbivorous insects; mainly of the species Eurosta solidaginis, Rhopalomyia solidaginis, Philaenus spumariusand Uroleucon caligatum."
