  1. no it does not. it is because an ace can be either the highest or lowest card. but if you put it in the middle(such as in your case), it is niether the highest nor lowest.


  2. Unless you are playing a casual game with around-the-bend as a rule, no, it does not count as a straight.

    Unless, like Solid Revolution said, you play with "friendly" rules. But then, K-Q-2-7-10 can be a straight too : )

    There's only 10 straights in poker, A-2-3-4-5 to 10-J-Q-K-A.
