  1. No.

However, some hotels will charge you for lenght of calls after a certain number of minutes (usually 30) and it doesn't  matter whether the call is local or long distance.

While this charge is usally for outgoing calls; I've stayed in hotels that charge for lenght of incoming calls also.

In the hotel usually on or by the phone, it will list the charges for phone. Or call the front desk and ask about phone charges.

Also watch those outgoing calls, if you dont have a cell go to the lobby for a pay phone even for local calls and 800 numbers if they are not free in your room.

  2. No,not for the ones you receive unless the person that calls you uses reverse charges.Calls you normally receive are not charged.

  3. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  4. No.  But some hotels have a nasty habit of stepping on the charges for outgoing calls, so be smart and use your cell phone instead.

  5. You SHOULD never be charged for incoming calls under any reason.

However at our hotel it's $8.00 just to connect to a long distance call. It's very steep for a long distance call. I'd suggest get a phone card from the gift shop or nearest gas station or bring your cell phone. If you don't have your charger, check with the FD. They usually have dozens of them left behind by other guests.

  6. I'm pretty sure no.  The caller gets charged...not the hotel guest.
