Does a hp full system recovery delete viruses?

my other computer got a virus ( i dont know how ) but it did. will an hp full system recovery wipe it out?

Yes it should (assuming the recovery CD does not contain a virus...) :)

However, backup all of you data before.

Once the recovery is completed:

1. install an anti-virus;

2. copy your backed-up data;

3. scan your backed-up data, just in case your files have been infected.

yes, but it'll wipe out everything else too, make sure you back up your data first.

This option is for setting your computer back to the state it was in when you first got it.  (it'll have OS and the programs it came with but nothing else).
