the newest ipod nano does hold songs videos and pictures.

but how many of each is decided by the number of GB's the ipod is.

the average amount is about 1,000 songs. and a couple of half hour shows. or 1 movie but not both, unless you have almost no songs, you could trade off every now and then.

ive got a 4 gig nano, ive got maybe 20 pictures, and 1001 songs, and its just about full (and my nano doesnt hold video...its a 2nd gen)
