  1. check a dealer near you , thay DON'T SAME OIL , or check your owners manual.

  2. Most mowers use 30W for gas engines. It is often written on the dip stick.

  3. Use a 10-30 or straight 30 motor oil in the crankcase.

If you have a 2 stroke motor, you must use 2-stroke oil - mix it with the gas.

  4. I have used "what ever oil was handy" in my lawnmowers for the last 20 years. Never seams to hurt them.

  5. My lawnmower does. The owners manual recommended API SG-SL SAE 5W-30. I imagine this type would work with all lawnmowers. Be careful with oils that are specified as lawnmower oil, I bought a bottle and the stuff was blue, it was meant for equipment where oil is mixed with the gas. Do not think your doing a favor by using high octane gas. Lawnmowers only need low grade 87-89 Octane. Those engines get hot, a high octane fuel would not help.

  6. Briggs, Kohler, and Tecumseh all recommend 30wt oil above 32 degrees.  Yes it is the same oil.

  7. No,most take a non detergent straight 30 weight.Check the manual. If you do not have one just use the 30 weight oil.

  8. use 30w non detergent small engine oil
