Does a lightning air terminal rod attracts more lightnings to strike on it?

There was a time when Singapore recieved lots of lightning strikes and I don't know whether was it the lightning air terminal rods at the roof which attracted those lightnings?

houses' roof doesn't attract the lightning. maybe there are many electrical post and electricity connections. but here in out country, we have many electricity posts but we are not hitted by lightning.

You are referring to lightning arresters, it might be the reason, because lightning strikes the tallest gounded object or the nearest grounded object.
