  1. Not quite Jimmy The harder the better A soft tip will soften the hit losing power  A well scuffed & chalked tip is the best

  2. If you want to learn better english i suggest you take an english class, you should be able to get them free through your local adult learning college

  3. A soft tip is the best for english!!

  4. The softer the tip,the more grip you will get. So a soft tip will impart more side (english).

The harder tip will put more power into your shot.

So a hard tip is generally better for a break cue.

If you don't have a seperate break cue,use a medium tip.

If you play english pool, you only need a soft tip as the balls are lighter and you only need one cue.

  5. Johnny is correct.  Harder tip+good stroke= great english.  Now by harder tip, I mean 75-83 or so hardness.  Your not going to want to shoot with a phenolic tip or anything that hard.  A soft tip, unless you tap every shot is basically useless in IMO.  If you hit 1 stern shot with a soft tip, the dime tip you just spent the last 15-20mins getting perfect now has a flat spot.  I shoot with a moori medium hard, because I shoot a lot of touch as well as stern shots.  That works good for me, but that may not be what is best for you.  You'll have to do a bit more homework on finding that out.  Good luck, and keep rackn em up!
