Does a moose have the agility to jump?

me and my friend were debating whether or not a moose could cross a 3 foot high 3 foot thick, and he said a moose could jump over it like a horse, but i dont think they could do it.......

if you can, provide a source

  1. Yes, mooses are like smaller horses, they jump, in fact all mammals can jump except for elephants, or so I heard.


  2. yes, maybe not as high as a horse but they can jump.  

  3. I can't provide a source other then my own experience when I went to Colorado... I saw a moose jump over a rather high barier... I can't tell you if it was 3x3 but it was pretty big...

    They can't do jump as high as horses or as far because of their size but they are able to jump... They wouldn't have survived if they couldn't.

  4. a Moose is huge animal it wouldnt have a problem jumping a 3 foot fence. Moose is big and scary.

  5. yes. I have seen pics of a moose jumping a fence.

    If you google: pics of moose jumping - you will see one of them. This isn't the photo I saw - it was a wooden crossrail instead but I can't find it.

  8. sorta ? Youtube clip of someones backyard with a big moose in it who takes the fence at the very end. But it kind of a cross between stepping over and jumping.
