Question:

Does a neighbor have legal right to remove half of a garage that has property line going right down themiddle?

He removed his half and left the remaining building unstable i believe .I have filed civil suit but unsure of how much or even if its worth it.What can i sue for,lack of use,and damage?He has verbally agreed to fix it or replace it now he says he has done nothing wrong.

  1. My question is.. Who's garage is it?  Who put up the garage???

    If you put the garage up, and half of it was on his property, then YES he absolutely can take it down.  He should have asked you to remove it, but apparently didn't.

    It's the same thing if you have a tree in YOUR yard, and it's growing OVER the fence and hanging on the neighbors property, YOUR neighbor has the right to CUT the branches that are hanging in HIS yard.


  2. Only if he has a legal document that says that part of the property did belong to him. And he would of had to consult with you with a legal paper saying that he was giving  so much notice for  it being taken down.

  3. Does it say anything in the deed about attachments?
