  1. It depends entirely on of which country you are a national.  Some countries make the annotation in the new passport (for example, India and Pakistan), other countries do not (for example, the US).


  2. Yes. It is chain process / continuity is mentioned. Tell your specific probem.

  3. if you have given your old passport reference in the application, the same will appear in the new paassport also.

  4. If it's stolen, you have to get police report.

    If it's damaged, just bring it to the embassy to get a new one.

    Or if you're US citizen, submit application for new passport to replace the damaged one.. no problem.

  5. YOU SHOULD LODGE A COMPLAINT IN THE POLICE STATION STATING THAT THE PASSPORT WAS LOST. THEN ONLY YOU GET THE NEW ONE.

    ONE PERSON IS ISSUED ONE PASSPORT ONLY

    IF ANOTHER PASSPORT IS GIVEN IN THE CASE OF THEFT OR DAMAGE IT WILL BE THE COPY OF THE OLD ONE ONLY
