Does a officer have to stay on post at fort huachuca for the 6 month military intelligence obc?

If a SSG were to decide to take the OBC training course for military intelligence at FT. Huachuca, does he have to live on post? I was told they dont have to because sometimes there isnt enough room to hold all the soldiers who are doing AIT , etc. and the let the soldiers who arent newbies stay off post. Let me know

  1. Why on earth would a SSG want to take OBC training?  OBC is for officers.

    Talk to your soldier, there's no logic to your question.
