Does a pedestal sink require new plumbing if you have a lavatory in place.?

  1. Definitely.  But you must be careful of the drain connections it may be of different height and distance from the wall


  2. It all depends on the existing rough in

    where the pipes are located and how the new ped lav. buts up to them

    If it fits then no need to replumb

    If it doesn't fit then yes you need to replumb

  3. Yes you need new plumbing.The out flow from your lavatory goes to sewer,whereas the sink outflow would be into a drain.

  4. Depends on where the plumbing comes out of the wall/floor. New supply lines is all you should need unless you want to add shut off valves. May take a little copper, but you don't have to reroute anything major.
