Does a perm slow down the growth of your hair?

my hair is super healthy.its soft.my hair grows really fast be i want to get a perm.but i don't want it to slow don't my hair growth because i just got a cut.i cut a FOOT off and i want it back.

No, not a straightening one. But it doesn't speed it up either. Its all about how often and much you wash your hair. Too much will slow it and so will too little.

It will seem like a perm slows the growth of your hair, but it's only b/c it isn't flowing straight down anymore. If they do it right, and if you take care of your hair afterwards, then your hair will still be just as healthy and it won't be fried.
