Does a person have to be a U.S. citizen to get a job at the U.N.?

Or is being a citizen of any of the member countries good enough?

  1. You basically need uni degree, second language and know someone (the third is the most important). UN is just that. United Nations. It will have all different walks of life and nationalities.


  2. I don't believe you have to be a US citizen in order to be employed at the UN

    the United Nations is just that, once a country is a member (or even not) you may be eligible

    but they have very high standards

    University Degree, maybe even a Masters, fluent in the languages of the UN, English, French, Chinese

    sometimes they have entrance exams in various countries

    and you have to start at the bottom and work up!

    but its a great experience

  3. Any citizen of any country can get a job at the UN as long as qualified and none of the disqualifications.
