    It's like us in the U.S.


  2. If they are a EEA (European Economic Area) national, they do not need a passport, just an ID card.  If he is not an EEA national, then he will need his passport with the visa if traveling by air or boat or Eurostar.  By road, however, most border checkpoints have been dismantled.

    Just need an ID, Driving Licence...

    Ther is not anymore border checkpoint in most European Union country, it is only if you travel by Air / boat...

    check which countries are in the Schengen space.

  4. They are citizens of the European union and are free to travel in member nations, they have a common currency, and are developing common laws too.
