Does a person with schizophrenia carry out the threats he makes on the life of a certain person?

  1. Most people don't carry out their threats. Same here. The actual risk can only be assessed with knowledge of the particular person and the particular situation.


  2. They are not in the right mind... im sure alot of threats mean nothing but it could and I would watch out for that, cuz those people do not think and act like normal people do.

  3. It depends.If the person is a "paranoid schizophrenic",then you should tell the Police,just to be on the safe side.I think the other two types of Schizophrenic are only likely to kill themselves,though.

  4. If someone with sz makes a threat on someones life it is more then likely because of an psychotic episode. It is not because that person really wants to harm you. It is out of their control.

    What really needs to be done is make sure they get the help they need to get their meds adjusted.

    Can it be dangerous to be around them at this time? Yes it can. Will they even remember or keep the plan in action? Maybe not.

    Just be cautious and let someone know that can help.
