I've never come across anything factual to back that up .. but I can see why it might... your personalised plate depends on your car being covered by your M.O.T  roadworthyness ... if your car gets trashed the value of your plate is in limbo land ..who's gonna pay?

no, my brother has had his personalised recently he never mentioned anything about any extra insurance,and I think he is a posing t**t with too much money, which would be better given to some charity like cancer because his wife died with cancer, and had been well looked after in her last weeks in hospital.XX

i can tell you now it does not affect your insurance how do i know i had one
