The points earned in the Olympics do count toward the ATP rankings. Usually, each year the tournament is held, the players' points are renewed. Since the Olympics takes place only once every 4 years, does that mean the players keep the points they earned THAT long?

  1. No, they lose the points the following year.  The rankings are on a 52-week rolling system so after next week next year the points have to be lost because there is no possibility of defending them.
