  1. It depends on where you live, but ur insurance rates will go up if u have a pool, and if u have fence they go down a bit....check with ur city ordinance and see if they expect you to have a fence or not.

  2. no that i know of

  3. You could be held liable of a neighborhood kid sneaks in and drowns.  I suppose it depends on whether there's a chance of that risk, and if it's a chance you're willing to take.

  4. no, but it helps if there are small children living nearby

  5. It really depends on what your city laws are. Most inground pools have to have some type of fence surrounding it, and any pool that goes about 4 feet must have some type of protection so trespassors won't fall in.

  6. I think it depends on the state you live in...I live in Jersey and if you have an in-ground pool you have to have a fence

  7. Some cities require a fence, and some don't.  This is a legal issue.  Ask your local building department.

It could get expensive if you guess wrong!

  8. It depends.. i dont think it has to.

but if it is in a public area thats not your house then i think it does becouse a lil kid might fall into it.

if you have a lil kid around then you might want to put a fence around it.

  9. in some states it's required by law to have a fence around a pool especially if there are young children.

  10. well it doesnt have 2 but just to be on the safe side i w ould get it

  11. If it is an in ground pool, then yes it does. with a locking gate. If it is an above ground pool with just a ladder, the ladder needs to be removed after every swim. If it's an above ground pool with a deck, there must be a locking gate for the deck. Hope that helps.

  12. no not necessarily a lotof the pools i've gone too don't have a fence

  13. ours doesnt, if there is no curious pets or small children you dont need a fence, but if you do have a small puppy or kitten or a 2 year old child put one in by all means

  14. Only if you have one of those kiddie pools or want privacy...

  15. In most states it is recommended. In most situations, why would you not want to not only protect yourself against accidental drowning, but protect a small child from accidentally falling in?

  16. well the pool doesn't have to have a fence but you also need your privacy so yes you should have a fence

  17. you should close the pool due to aids, or other infectious diseases, but no fence is required if there are no infants around.

  18. A barrier of some sort is generally required by code in the U.S. for safety reasons.  However, always check with your local building department (and your insurance company) to find out exactly what's required. The International Residential Code 2006 serves as a model for many state and local codes, and it requires a barrier on or around any swimming pool, including in-ground, above-ground or on-ground pools, as well as around hot tubs or spas.

FYI the code defines a swimming pool as "any structure intended for swimming or recreational bathing that contains water over 24 inches deep."
