  1. NO IT DOES NOT REQUIRE A FIRE  SUPPRESSION SYSTEM  BUT IT DOES REQUIRE  FIRE EXTINGUSHER ( PORTABLE) AND AVENTILATION SYSTEM FOR BILGES  BELOW FREEBOARD DECK.  DESIGNATED  PASSENGER BOATS  REQUIRE  SUPPRESSION   SYSTEMS


  2. If inboard check with your insurance comp= As mine gave me a substantial savings>for a minimal cost>Besides it's for safety for all aboard>>

  3. If it has an inboard gasoline engine, then yes. also having a fire extinguisher isn't a bad idea for any boat with a fuel combustion engine.

  4. any thing  that uses a inboard engine is required by coast gaurd. out boards just require a external hand fire extinguisher .seeing it is used for life boat operations the operator of the boat is required to be a licened captain.
