  1. Yes it uses power ,but u will probably not know the difference.

  2. yes

  3. Yes, and there is the extra weight to be considered.

  4. Yes, but you'll have a greater effect on the battery run-time than the electric HP.

  5. Absolutely, energy is energy, be it the horsepower necessary to accelerate your car to 50 MPH or that necessary to run a 500 watt stereo system.  But to keep things in perspective, 1 horsepower is equal to 746 watts, so even when you have everything turned up to "10" late at night the noise pollution issue far outweighs any carbon footprint considerations.

  6. Yes. The more amps the device draws the less available for the car so the more the generator will have to work or the faster the batteries will drain. AC will draw much more than a stereo since compressors require a lot of power. With a stereo, I'm tempted to lie since I hate sitting in traffic next to someone with a really loud stereo, his choice of music is never the same as mine, but I won't. It likely won't use that much energy but anything that you have drawing power will cause a drain, making you recharge the batteries faster.

  7. yes because they use electricity forcing your alternator to turn on.
