  1. Very rarely. But I don't think it is true menstruation - I'm pretty sure your body doesn't ovulate after you get pregnant. Occasionally women get a bit of bleeding around the time their period would normally be due but it isn't a real period.

  2. usually not. Some women have a little spotting at the time they would normally have their period for two or three cycles after the start of pregnancy but any more than that or at any other time is potentially serious

  3. perhaps you are not pregnant..was a false alarm perhaps?

  4. i had a full period twice before i realised i was pregnant. it does happen so always go see a doctor if you think you might be. By the way I terminated it at 10 weeks, so you have 12 weeks to decide!

  5. only rarely. once at the most.

  6. Every woman's different, but it's not that common.  With the majority of women, menstruation stops for the 9 months of pregnancy, they bleed for a few weeks after giving birth, then after a few weeks their cycle starts to return to normal.

Some women menstruate throughout their pregnancy - some don't realise they're pregnant till they go into labour!!

  7. My friend did all the way through her pregnancy. She thought everything was fine then she gave birth in a toilet ...didn't realise she was even pregnant.

  8. No. Menstruation occurs when no fertilized egg has implanted itself into the lining of the uterus. Pregnancy is the opposite. When a fertilized egg does implant itself, hormones are sent to the woman's brain which prevent menstruation.
