  2. No.  Prokayotes lack membrane bound organelles, this includes the entire endomembrane system.

Compartmentalization is a feature of eukaryotic cells only! compartmentalization is the reason why eukaryotic cells can grow really big and prokaryotic cells are very small. compartmentalization counteracts the volume vs surface area problem associated with big cell size. I am shocked at the previous answerers who say yes!
