Does a "Bug Zapper" kill June bugs and Japanese beetles?

I am thinking of putting a "Bug Zapper" in our back yard because every morning I have to clean out close to or more than 50 June bugs and Japanese beetles from our pool ( we are currently trying to find a cover big enough to cover the pool at night but so far every place we go is "SOLD OUT". People have told me to buy those bettle traps but I've also heard the attract more. Any ideas would help. Thanks

a bug zapper will kill june bugs,the problem with bug zappers they will kill all bugs. there are some bugs we need , like lightening bugs. i had one and it worked real well,but i took it down do the fact it was killing everything small enough to enter it.

They will kill anything small enough to get in it. Even the good bugs. I would go with the beetle traps and place them further away from the pool
