  1. A raw vegan eats foods that have not been heated over 60 degrees celsius, this is because over 60 the enzymes in the vegetables begin to break down and the food looses some nutrition. This means that raw vegans can still have warm food, and dehydrated food, just so long as it is not heated too high.

Pasteurising usually involves heating to over 100 degrees, milk does, so they do not drink pasteurised drinks

  2. Raw vegans do eat dehydrated food.  They do not, as a rule, consume pasteurized juice, as it has been heated to the point of being considered cooked.

Raw foodists avoid canned produce, as it has been cooked.

  3. Dehydrated fruits are not cooked. Neither are most canned tomatoes unless it says "stewed". Based on that, I am assuming that raw foodists eat them.

Dehydration just means removing the water content, not cooking.

  4. the simple way to understand vegans is if it contains any animal products, has been in contact with animal products or is packaged using animal products you cant eat it.

raisins and dehydrated food should be fine as long as there's no animal products, though some are genetically modified using animal cells, which would make them not ok.

but that'ss really only a very small minority
