it shouldn't bother your snake...that being said i don't use a light on my kingsnakes i use an undertank heater.

A red light wouldn't bother your snake. I see people have red lights and it does nothing to the snake. Your snake will be fine with a red light.

The light shouldn't bother the king snake.

Snakes don't see color so that wouldn't know what color is it. Also they have poor eye sight so they can barely see the figures around them(that's why some snakes can't tell the difference between a finger and the feeder)

No it will not. Snakes cant see color thats why they make the light in red so when its night time you can put your red light on and get your heat and uv while the snake thinks it is night.
