Does a student ID qualify as a photo ID?

just wondering because my military ID expired and my license card has to get fixed because they put the wrong height.

  1. Depends on who wants the ID. It will not count for anything w/ most places. Must be government issued ID. Can't use it when registering to vote, applying for a driver's license, opening a PO box, crossing the border, etc. But I used my student ID once for something minor. All depends on who's asking for it. They can tell you what they accept.

    Edit: why would the wrong height on your license make it unusable as ID? People's weights change all the time and it's still valid ID.
