Does a tax ID number help re establish your credit?

If my credit is not very good but I am starting a business and need business credit will my tax ID number be a way to start my credit over again using my tax ID not social security number.

No a tax id number has nothing to do with credit, anybody can get one and I mean anybody. The only person it means anything to is the TAX man.

Not really.  Any firm who is going to extend credit to you will want your personal guaranty even if you are a corporation or LLC.  

The way to clean up your credit is to pay your bills on time--but then you already knew that.
