Does a teacher have any right to read your text messages?

During a test today, my phone got taken away.

Im only in highschool.

Not a big deal.

But my teacher went and read my text messages.

Is this allowed?

Or is this invasion of privacy?

no its bull the same thing happened to me but i was just putting it away.Then she started reading my text messages and i got in more truble because me and my friends make fun at each other as a joke and one of my friends happened to be mexican.
