Does a team that picks up a player pay for anything?

Player X signs with Team A for 2 years, at 10 million per. After the first year, Player X stinks up the place, and gets released. Team B picks him up for year 2. Now, all baseball contracts are guaranteed, so Team A is paying the 10 million. The question is what, if anything, does Team B pay? Is the player free of charge? Is there a cost for the acquisition (maybe a 50,000 acquisition fee or maybe the league minimum)? Does the player get any additional money for the pickup?
