  1. no a tenant does not need to have a rent receipt if they pay via direct debit...but still for inccome tax return purposes they would need rent receipts...


  2. It's always easier for tax purposes to get a receipt.

  3. I don't think so. if there was a query over the rent the tenant would have bank statements that showed the Landlord received payment by DD.
