  1. My 12 year old brother just took it last week,

    1 - No

    2 - Short

3 - It only hurts a little bit, but after a few hours, your arm starts hurting

4- ...first pain (when the needle is in) = 3/10

-----Lasting pain (after a few hours) = 6/10

    5- Not much really...

  2. The needle definitely doesn't go all the way in your arm. I just had a tetanus shot on friday (about 55 hours ago as of this posting), and the shot doesn't hurt much at all. I didn't notice how much fluid went in, but it wasn't anything remarkable... I really barely felt the shot. By friday night, a few hours after, the area of the shot (the fat part of the shoulder muscle... where you normally get vaccinations), was a bit sore... maybe 2 on a scale of one to ten. It didn't get worse, but it hasn't really improved yet either. It just feels like a sore muscle. As I type this, I don't feel any pain. But if I go to lift my arm a certain way, then it feels like I overdid a workout at the gym on that muscle. No big deal!

  3. 1. I think so

    2. Not very long

    3. Much more after the shot. for me it made my muscles sore for a day or two like a really tough workout

    4. the shot itself 1.5 the soreness is like  6

    5. Not much

  4. IT WILL STING A LITTLE THE NEEDLE GOES IN TO THE MUSCLE ABOUT 1 INCH THERE IS ABOUT 1 ML OF TETANUS A DEAD VIRUS GOES INTO THE MUSCLE THE PAIN WILL BE ON A SCALE OF ABOUT 3 DURING THE SHOT BUT WILL DECREASE WITHIN 10 MIN TO ABOUT A 1. TAKE 500MG OF TYLENOL BEFORE YOU TAKE THE SHOT AND THEN AGAIN AFTER THE SHOT IT WILL CAUSE LESS PAIN AND DISCOMFORT LATER THEN YOU CAN USE A SMALL ICE PACK FOR THE MILD SWELLING. TAKE TYLENOL EVERY 6 HOURS FOR 24HOURS AFTER THE SHOT.

  5. idk about some of those questions but its pretty much like any other shot but hurst more after it get sore and stuff.

  6. 1. yes it goes deep (it's not like a stabfest, don't worry)

    2. 22-mm is the length used for small children

    3. It's just a prick and strange sensation, not much pain for me

    4. mine was about 4

    5. miniscule

My sister said it would hurt horribly, and my arm would ache for weeks afterwards.

It didnt and my arm was fine. It was a little sore at the spot, but I'm afraid of needles so when the doctor gave me the shot I looked away.

It's ok to be afraid, but don't interfere with what the doctor is doing. Look away and think of something else. Don't freak out about it.

  7. it hurts a bit but i had to get mine in my *** cheek not in the arm. i didnt see the needle either.

  8. Good answers. Also make sure you massage the area after the injection. That helps!

  9. I just had one this morning and didn't feel a thing.  I was told to get the shot in my non-dominate arm and keep the arm moving as much as possible.

  10. yes... 23g by 5/8 neddle...while the medication is going in it burns and after ur arm is sore 4 a couple of days...8......0.5ml
