  1. It won't make it go up until you have to renew your insurance, and then it will...

  2. no

  3. If it was a moving violation (which yours was) it'll generally raise your insurance rate when you renew.

  4. My insurance policy lets me get 2 tickets a year without having my premiums go up. Might be different for you though because you're 16. Call your insurance company and ask, just make sure you don't give them you name

  5. No. I think it's only if you have a crash or that you end up with a conviction that your insurance would go up.

  6. Yes, you will have a surcharge for 6 years beginning next year, and you will have points on your license.  A citation and an accident can both cause a surcharge, obviously more if you have both.

  7. Usually when you get a ticket, it would affect your insurance. They go by your age, and the offense. Something like this may not be too bad, but you will have to find out from your insurance agent.

    Good luck to ya!

  8. It sure will! Especially where your only 16 years old. The best thing to do is call your insurance company and ask them about it. Because, they will find out whenever the police sends a copy of the police report to them.

  9. Absolutely, as will your "credit score" when you become older.  Be a responsible driver, pay attention, drive by the rules.  Driving is NOT a right, it is a privilege.
