Such as those new toothbrushes with the tongue and cheek cleaner on the end of them, and do human tongues contain a lot of bacteria (bad bacteria) on them?

I don't see what difference it makes, cleaning your tongue and even the inside of your cheeks.

  1. I actually use a teaspoon, which works WAY better than a tongue scraper or a toothbrush.

The reason a spoon works better is because it squeezes out all the c**p that accumulates deep in the surface of the tongue. The tongue's surface is analogous to a dense forest, and gunk gets caught amongst the trees.

First brush your tongue and teeth with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Once you get done brushing, scrape the surface and sides of your tongue with the spoon. Do this until you no longer get any gunk on the spoon. You will no doubt be totally grossed out, but will also be amazed how well this works. The plus is that your bad breath will be gone and you won't be as prone to periodontal (gum) disease.

  2. Yeah your tongue has most of the bacteria that causes bad breath on it.  And a tongue cleaner works much better than an ordinary toothbrush.  Try it and see for yourself.

  3. I don't go to the extent of cleaning the inside of my cheeks but after brushing all my teeth i give my tongue a good scrub and it prevents bad breath. I don't have one of those new toothbrushes I just brush the same way you would on your teeth :P

  4. Most bad breath comes from your tongue so yes, clean it. And you don't need a tongue cleaner to clean it, just any old toothbrush.

  5. they want to invent a new product so that they can make more money. it's the same reason why they say brush after every meal, use mouthwash twice daily, etc. when that much isn't necessary- so you'll use more and pay more.

you don't need a tongue cleaner, use your toothbrush.

  6. use a tongue scraper & scrape the stuff from your tongue & smell it & see if you like it. If you do like it then dont clean yout tongue, keep it safe & store it for as long as you want.

  7. I've heard that your tongue does have most the bacteria that causes bad breath, but as for using a tongue cleaner, I don't do that. I just stick out my tongue and brush it normally with my toothbrush.

  8. definitely. the tongue is one of the most important part of the mouth where most of bacteria are found. the whitish particle that are seen in the tongue after eating is the food particles left and harmful bacteria can start to grow.

its not enough to only clean the teeth to be prevented from bad breath, cleaning the tongue is another effective way. proper oral  care should be given attention. persistent bad breath can lead to further destruction the gums and teeth.  bad breath can be avoided by observing superior oral hygiene and avoiding bad habits that contribute to  the occurrence of the condition such habits includes smoking and excessive alcohol intake. persistent bad breath can lead to periodontal disease causing gums to be swell and bleed and bacteria from mouth may spread throughout the other parts of the body causing the development of certain medical conditions commonly heart attack and stroke.  It is necessary to see your dentist for any dental  issues that you have, for they can be properly addressed with their professional expertise.
