Does a tooth filling hurt at all? i just found out i have a cavity!?

It doesn't hurt a bit and it depends on how deep the cavity its, if it's small you probably don't need freezing.

don't worry about it. Getting a filling is practically painless. They give you novacaine to make one side of your mouth numb. Then they drill your teeth ,and once they have finished drilling they insert the filling into your teeth. (the drilling feels harmless because of the novacaine). After it is over your mouth will feel numb for 1-2 hours ,and then it will feel normal again.

they dont hurt at all, they just tingle when the dentist drills it, u shouldnt have any worries at all its no biggie

It's not fun, but if you don't get it done, you'll suffer a lot more pain in the long run.  Having a tooth rot out is a slow, painful ordeal...and in the end, you'll have to get it pulled.  

Get it filled and take care of your teeth.  Trust me...I've had 3 teeth pulled and two bridges put in...and I kicked myself the whole time for not taking care of my teeth...not to mention the fact that it cost me nearly 10 grand...

First the dentist will walk in and give you a couple shots to numb the area-

Then he/she will wait for it to take affect, and they will make sure you dont feel anything, which will be good. If you are still able to feel a little bit, they'll give you another shot-

Then after that they will do the filling, so overall you can't feel anything because you will be numbed. But if you feel any discomfort raise your hand and tell them, they gotta know so they can numb it again. I had to be numbed a bunch of times for my fillings cause im weird lol.

But trust me..be lucky all you have to get is a filling, root canals are horrible.
