Does a uk couple need a visa to the carribean if 1 has conviction?

we have uk passports just wondering if you need a visa to go to maybe jamacia for a wedding dec09 it just for 14nts with5 kids with us but my partner has a conviction 20yrs ago and my son just got referrall orer will they need visa's.i guess you do for i think mexico but do you for the carribean islands

UK nationals don't need visas to go to Jamaica, but you'd better make sure that you don't go through the USA, where you would not be able to take advantage of the visa waiver scheme if you had convictions.
