  1. yes yes they can!

  2. Probably not.

  3. Yes, I definitely think they can.  Research has shown that they can hear your voice, so they for sure can hear you yelling or singing or talking to them, or whatever.  Some people say the baby can recognize their mother's voice, and other people's voices, too, like daddy's, and siblings.  Some people have said that they read to their baby before they were born, and after they were born, they seemed to recognize the book and prefer it.

And besides being able to hear things, the baby can feel motion, and anything that affects your heart rate, for example, would also affect them.

Aside from the physical, many mothers feel a deeper, spiritual connection with the little one growing inside them.

Is this your first baby?  The bonding process starts before birth.  I definitely believe that.

You're right, each child is different!

  4. Yes, because they have their senses. When we would go to church during my first pregnancy, she would hear the organ playing and start jumping all over.  It's a great thing, to be pregnant.  I would do it ten more times if I could.  I loved it.

  5. oh my god yess!!!

When, i get excited or happy my little girl is always kicking. And when I read to her and listen to her music in the evening, she's always dancing and kicking. Or when I get upset, she'll start moving a lot more. People totally under estimate an unborn child.

  6. apparently they can.

thats why you're told to to try and have a calm pregnancy

because if you're stressed, you'll have a stressed baby.

i'm 7 and half months pregnant myself.

my baby doesn't kick me when i get all shouty or upset.

when i go to lay down to cool off, it feels like he is stroking me from the inside.

like to help me calm down.

but now i sound like a loony :)

  7. They definately can.  When I was two days past my due date I was worried because I hadn't felt my baby girl move all day.  I got in an argument with someone (mainly b/c I was moody) and when I started yelling my baby girl started moving all over the place.  Also when I would talk or sing she moved more and now she loves music.

  8. A baby can certainly feel it.  There are numerous documentations about, how another person singing to the baby, while it is still in utero, will calm the baby.  When a pregnant woman gets upset, physically and/or, verbally, the baby will know it.  Physically, To the baby, it could almost feel like they were involved in a roll-over, without even being in a car.  Verbally, They can hear what you say, whether you realize it, or not.

Lastly, Your reaction, can have a physiological reaction to the baby.

Just as you are, 'eating for two', you are also behaving for two.
