  1. Sounds good- save me a piece

maybe try some fresh strawberries with it...or blueberries

  2. If you soften the cream cheese and add some sugar to it and use a few tablespoons of strawberry preserves and mix, you can use this as a filling between the layers.  Then you should make an icing not frosting out of some confectioners sugar and milk.  Make it fairly thick and add some lemon juice to it also.  Spread a thin layer of strawberry preserves on the top of the cake.  You may want to micro it for a few seconds so it spreads easy.  Let that cool.  When cools, spread the icing on top and allow to drizzle down the sides.  Let it stand to set.  That would be really good and it won't be too overwhelming.

  3. Sounds wonderful -- can I come?

How about putting the cheese cake on the bottom, though?  It's pretty heavy.

  4. That sounds pretty good actually but you should put the cheesecake as the bottom layer since they are quite heavy and may end up caving in the bottom layer of vanilla cake.  Use a cream cheese frosting on both the cheese cake and vanilla cake and you can add some fresh strawberries on top (if you want to get really fancy dip the strawberries half way in melted chocolate first and refrigerate until hardened then put them on top just before serving) and it will look impressive and taste great.

  5. sounds great....

2 8 oz packs cream cheese

    2 teaspoons lemon juice

cool whip(enough to make it spreadable)

    1/3 cup  sugar

instead of frosting....when you slice it to serve spoon strawberries on top..

1 cup strawberries sliced in half...toss with 1 Tablespoon sugar ...take 2 or 3 of the berries and puree them and mix in with the berries to make a sauce...

  6. I definitely wouldn't mix the two but I would recommend a carrot cake or maybe individual cherry cheesecakes. Good Luck!

  7. Uhm, not so sure...

I think I prefer them "separately", but that's me.

But if you are making that, probably some cheese frosting would be good.

  8. It sounds awesome! Try a straberry or blueberry compote to go on top. That would make it so good that if they didn't like you then you know the problem is with them not you! hehe I would try foodnetwork.com for some good ideas on the compote. Good luck!

  9. That actually sounds fantastic. :]

    I'd definitely enjoy trying that.

    G'luck with it.
